Facebook recently lost a heated battle with Apple over iOS 14, which means Apple users can now opt out of having their data taken by advertisers on websites and landing pages.
Basically, advertisers would have taken that data to gauge who’s most interested in their product or service so that they could then target and retarget those individuals accordingly. Now that this data could very well be gone–the guess is that most people are going to opt out–Facebook advertisers have to work only with the data that they can get within Facebook. And the best indicator within Facebook of who is interested in a product or service is video viewsdata.
If someone is willing to sit through a video ad about your product or your service, odds are there’s interest. Video ads are already the highest converting asset on Facebook, it seems iOS 14 just made them a lot more valuable!
Ready to make video ads that perform? Let’s get started.
